'88-'99 XV1100 Virago V-Twin with Mikuni BST40 Carbs
This is the final variation of the XV1100 Virago carbs and are Mikuni BST40s. These are a flatslide carb and work very well on these bikes when properly assembled.
Note: Starting in '74 Yamaha started year coding bikes in the last letter used in the name. You may see this code on your bikes paperwork or in a parts list or catalog. I leave this off as it is redundant if you are showing the year anyway. There is a chart below to find your year code.
Below is a pair of '88-'99
XV1100 Virago Mikuni BST40 carbs. These were the same from
'88-'99 other than the California version that has different
internal tuning. These were a special version of the Mikuni BST40's
only used on the '88-'97 XV750 Virago and the XV1100 models below.
