'89-'92 GSXR1100 Oil Cooled with Mikuni BST36SS CV Slingshot Carbs

This is the second generation of the GSXR1100 now  with Slingshot BST36SS carbs. These carbs are often interchanged with other models due to the huge amount of other models that use similar carbs that bolt on directly like the 750 Katana, 1200 Bandit, GSX1100G, not to mention aftermarket RS flatslides. They can still be way off due to mixing and matching stage kit and OE parts. 

Starting in '71 Suzuki started year coding bikes in the last letter used in the name. You may see this code on your bikes paperwork or in a parts list or catalog.  I leave this off as it is redundant if you are showing the year anyway. There is a chart below to find your year code.

     Below is a set of '91-'92 GSXR1100 41C10 BST36SS Slingshot carbs. These seemingly simple carbs can fight you if you do not properly ID them. On top of the fact that a huge amount received stage kits that changed not only parts like needles, jets and springs, but also included emulsion tube changes. There are a lot of things that can go wrong and make the bike run terrible. Also other countries do not use the exact same versions as the US so buying from Ebay can be a minefield. Almost every time a customer says the carbs are junk and they should be thrown away, it is just using the wrong combo of parts and they can work like new again. All years of this set will physically mount on other years and they all look the same, so identifying is important as they all use different internal tuning parts.
