Rob's Carburetor Rebuilds

'88-'89 GSX600F Katana Mikuni BST31SS CV Flat-Slide Carbs

This is the first two years, for the US, of the first generation GSX600F Katana. Only the first two years came with BST31SS carbs.

Starting in '71 Suzuki started year coding bikes in the last letter used in the name. You may see this code on your bikes paperwork or in a parts list or catalog.  I leave this off as it is redundant if you are showing the year anyway. There is a chart below to find your year code.

Below is NOT a set of '88-'89 GSX600F carbs. I had zero pictures of a set I have rebuilt. They are super rare as a lot of the '88's and '89's were upgraded with later engines as they only used this set-up for the first two years in the US. So instead i am showing a set of GSX1100F Katana carbs which are BST34SS along with a few pics of a set of '86 GSXR750 carbs. The Katana used the body size of the GSXR750 below and the brackets like the GSX1100F below. I just added this section to complete the 600 Katana section.
