'80-'83 GS550-GS650 Fours with Mikuni BS32 CV Slide Carbs

This is the second gen GS550  and including the GS650 with the BS32 CV slide carbs.  NOTE: The T,X,Z and D you see in the bikes naming is telling you the year, not the model.

 Starting in '71 Suzuki started year coding bikes in the last letter used in the name. You may see this code on your bikes paperwork or in a parts list or catalog.  I leave this off as it is redundant if you are showing the year anyway. There is a chart below to find your year code.

Below is a set of '81 GS550 47070 carbs.  The 550 and 650 carbs look basically the same. The 650's have different internal tuning than the 550's. Also, all '80-'81 sets have a different choke cable mount than the '82-'83 models. These parts can be switched out to make them work on a different year so they can be mixed-up, but you need to have the right choke cable mount for your bike as it is very involved to adapt the different cables to the bike itself.
