Mikuni 33mm VM Smoothbore Carbs

This was the upgrade for the 29mm VM smoothbores in a 33mm design. They are a VM style mechanical slide carb that was most popular as a mechanical replacement for bikes with 34mm CV carbs from the factory. They are not very popular as the RS flatslide works better in almost every way. However, they are not junk and if tuned correctly can be a asset to a lot of models, and I can do that! Identifying these carbs can be tricky as some early versions have no markings and they were sold by racing suppliers who would add proprietary parts for custom builds and mark them with their own ID's. If you buy a set of these from another bike than yours, you want to assume they have been changed. I can tune these for any bike they fit on as long as they were not a bad choice to begin with.  Below is a list from a Mikuni catalog that shows the basic ID numbers and the bikes they were intended for.

Below is a set of Mikuni 33mm VM Smoothbore A4 carbs that were on a Honda CB1100F.  I use only the best parts for these and know them stem to stern. I only cover US models here.
