'85-'06 VT1100 Shadow V-Twin KeiHin VD Dual Carbs

VT1100 carbs are all made from two different VD body designs. Sometimes you will find the bodies interchanged between all models of theVT500 and VT600C's. This means care should be taken in correct id of the carbs before acquiring replacement parts. Also care in installing parts in the front carbs compared to the rear carbs. Even factory manuals are vague on this issue and do not explain all or none of the front-to-rear differences including main jet emulsion tubes, slide springs, jet needles, and main jet sizes.

Below are both styles of VT1100 shadow styles '85-'86 and '87-on. All sets look and fit the same with the exception of '85-'86 where one external air cut-off valve is used instead of having them built on to the side of each carb body and the body is a different casting. However, they have many different internal tuning changes.
