'80-'82 CX500 Models V-Twin KeiHin 34mm VB25 and VB28
All of the CX500 V-Twin carbs made from '78-'82 look similar, and they can be interchanged on all years. However, they are diverse in both design, settings, and tuning. You have to pay close attention to the specific version to correctly rebuild and the bike they are currently installed. They are found to be interchanged and very mixed-up so just replicating current parts installed, is a recipe for disaster.
The set pictured is a '80 CX500D Deluxe (VB28AB). This set and all '80-'81 use the non-adjustable floats with matching float needles. Also this set has a simple crossover fuel tube and the intake nipple for the fuel line is mounted to the side of the number one carb. This carb also now has a accellerator pump.
