CB650 '79-'80 SOHC KeiHin PD50's
The 1979-1980 SOHC CB650 carbs are a mechanical slide style similar to PD41 and PD42 carbs used on the '77-'78 SOHC CB750's. The main way to tell the difference is the CB650 versions have air cut-off valves on the sides of each carb and a plastic lever for the choke cable. These carbs were only used these two years on the CB650's and replaced by the VB44 CV style that came on the '81-'82 models. The two styles will NOT interchange as the motors intake ports and manifolds have different spacing.
