CB500K Four '71-'73, CB550K '74-'76 CB550F Super Sport '75-'77 KeiHin Mechanical Slide First Gen
These carbs are basically the same style for all years of the CB500K Four '71-'73 (Marked 627B), CB550K '74-'76 (marked 022A, 069A, 087A) and the CB550F Super Sport '75-'77 (marked 069A). The CB550K continued to '77-'78, but uses a KeiHin PD carb and it is not interchangeable without changing the airbox and Intake manifolds (Including aluminum manifold mounts). So, if interchanges were made in the past it is usually the bikes that used the first generation design. You always want to ID these carbs correctly. Even though they are easily interchanged, you do not want to mix and match the internals. Erosion of the main jet tube of the body is the big killer of these carbs. If it is too damaged the main jet will never work correctly as it is a o-ring sealed jet. These carbs run fantastic if properly assembled.
